Much more than just a rainy day option, the Summerland Museum and Archives Society lovingly preserves fragments of Summerland’s pioneering history and sheds light on the land, town and people you see today.

Many people have explored or lived in the Okanagan Valley. From hunter-gatherer Okanagan peoples, to miners and cattle drivers, our landscape has been frequented by different cultures. European fur traders and permanent settlers alike found something special in the Okanagan Valley, while gentleman farmers came to explore the rich soil. The Summerland Museum preserves much of this heritage through intriguing artifacts, photographs and personal histories.
