The spectacular Summerland Ornamental Gardens are filled with a profusion of colour and perfume for much of the year. Located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, the Summerland Ornamental Gardens are open year-round and admission is by donation. With over 15 acres of lovingly tended heritage land, the gardens are a flower lover’s dream. Feed your senses with a seamless array of flower beds, meadows, a butterfly hot-spot and an essential Okanagan xeriscape area. Gazebos dot the landscape, providing a great place to relax and chat. Enjoy your lunch at one of our picnic nooks and look at Okanagan Lake as you reconnect with loved ones. Add the jaw-dropping view of the Trout Creek Train Trestle and canyon below and you’ll see why our Ornamental Gardens are a well-loved, Okanagan landmark.

About Us

Summerland is an unique and special place located in a region of BC renowned worldwide as a great place to visit and even a better place to live. The name really does say it all. Seemingly endless summers are followed by a warm vibrant fall with wine festivals and the last days at the beach. The short and very mild winters, with a full complement of activities, lead into a spring that features the most hours of sunshine of any place in Canada.
