Wine Tours
Summerland is a place where innovation and tradition meet. This is particularly evident in our award-winning wineries. But don’t just take our word for it, pick up a map from the Visitors’ Centre for a self-guided tour through the winding lanes of Bottleneck Drive or let someone else do the driving during your own private wine tour. However you get there, enjoy lingering over a glass of wine as you spend time with friends and look out over our magnificent lake and valley.
Lake Adventures
Trail your fingers in the sparkling Okanagan Lake as you paddle the bays and beaches of Summerland. Discover a new sense of balance during a paddle board yoga class, or get the family together for an unforgettable catered lunch on a pontoon boat.
Check out our watercraft rental options.
Classic Car Tours
Come and join in, or just watch the spirited debates that unfold at the Philosophers Café. The Summerland Arts Council hosts the fun and stimulating evenings that encourage discussion on the issues that touch our lives. Whatever the question, the conversation is always enlightening.
In The Gardens
Take a self-guided or official tour of the renowned Summerland Ornamental Gardens. Admire the adjacent train trestle and peer down at the fast running creek at the rugged juncture of a 240-foot deep canyon. Drop into the Summerland Visitors’ Centre for information on the annual Meadowlark Nature Festival, which often includes Summerland garden tours in its joyful celebration of nature.
Town & Country
Nature and heritage trails criss-cross our town and landscape. Stop in at the Summerland Visitors’ Centre for information on upcoming guided tours, or to pick up a Parks and Trails map. The Summerland Museum has brochures and maps designed to help you tour heritage buildings and areas of interest. If you want to see our landscape in a more adventurous way, consider horseback riding, where you can canter mountain paths or take a sedate ride through wildflower meadows while enjoying stunning and varied Okanagan views.
Bead Trails
The Bead Trails is one of the many reasons to drop into the Summerland Visitors’ Centre. Use a map and your adventurous spirit to collect signature beads and holiday memories at eclectic venues in Summerland, building a bracelet that reflects your personal style in the process. The trail will whisk you to wineries, art studios and boutiques. Discover the story behind each bead and share your own.
Trout Hatchery
Head to the glorious Summerland lakeshore and make eye contact with a rainbow trout or spotted charr at the Summerland Trout Hatchery. The Summerland Trout Hatchery is the oldest continuously running trout hatchery in B.C. Take a fascinating tour of its aquarium, trough room and outdoor ponds. Fun and interactive activities for the whole family!
